The creatures are out and about too, and if you get there early in the morning and stand quietly for a while you can often catch a glimpse of them:

Is that last fella a heffalump?
Yes. I believe they're distant cousins of the Snuffleupagus family.
So... how early do you need to be down there?
To see a heffalump it's probably best to be there before you've even woken up.
