As fall approaches I find myself wandering through -- or past -- Beechwood without actually doing any work. I accomplished a lot over the summer and now I think I'll just admire things before winter arrives. The insects are still very active:

Well, I think you've earned your autumn enjoyment of Beechwood, Marnie.
Are you doing this all on your own now? Where did everybody go?

Beechwood got decommissioned this year as a stewardship site so that volunteers and resources could be used for other locations, but they don't get rid of me that easy ...
